We all know how important it is to make sure your vehicle is properly maintained but we also understand that this is an expense that may not be at the top of your list. To help spread out the cost of your motoring, Hartwell has developed the Signature Service Plan which enables you to pay for your services with fixed monthly payments. You can relax in the knowledge that your vehicle servicing requirements will be taken care of by our highly skilled technicians.

A major service follows the manufacturer prescribed schedule

- Spark plugs-remove and replace (replace if necessary, only cost of labour included - parts charged seperately)
- Air filter-remove and replace
- Fuel filter-remove and replace (replace if necessary, only cost of labour included - parts charged seperately)
- Doors, tailgate hinges and locks-check operation and lubricate
- Handbrake-check operation/adjust if required
- Clutch-check operation/advise if adjustment required
- Windscreen-check for damage
- Washer/wipers-check operation and wear
- Exterior lights and fascia illumination-check operation/condition
- Instrument gauges, warning lights and horn-check operation
- Heating system, blower motor-check operation
- Air conditioning-check operation
- Seat belts-check operation/condition
- Bonnet catch-check operation/lubricate if required
- Wiring, pipes hoses, oil and fuel pipes-check routeing, damage, chafing and leaks (where visible)
- Engine, vacuum pump, and cooling system-check damage and leaks (where visible)
- Coolant expansion tank, windscreen washer, power steering and brake fluid reservoirs-check/top up fluids as necessary/report abnormal fuel loss
- Coolant-check antifreeze concentration, advise if required
- Auxiliary drive belts-check condition/advise if adjustment needed
- Battery-check general condition and test using midtronics tester-/clean terminals
- Automatic transmission-check/top up fluid (if applicable)
- Steering, suspension linkages, ball joints, driveshafts, gaiters-check damage, wear, security
- Front and rear wheel bearings-check wear
- Engine and transmission-check visible damage and leaks
- Exhaust-check condition, damage and leaks
- Underbody-check condition and damage
- Braking system-with wheel/drum off check condition of brake pads, discs, calipers, shoes, drums and cylinders.
- Record brake pad and disc thickness on VHC Tyres including spare wheel-adjust pressure, check wear and condition record on VHC
- Wheel nuts-tighten to correct torque
- Oil and oil filter-drain and replace oil, replace oil filter
- Reset service light
- Road test

1. What happens if I haven’t paid enough into my monthly (financed) service plan account at the time of servicing? Can I still service my vehicle?

Yes you can.  At the time of booking we will ensure you have sufficient credit for your service and if you do not we will ask you to top up to the required amount for the applicable service.

3. Do I have to take my car to the same dealership each year?

No, you don't have to use the same dealership every time you get a service. You can use any Hartwell dealership for servicing and repair at no extra charge.

4. What happens if I sell my car?

If you sell your car privately you can transfer your plan to the new owner free of charge, adding value to your sale.

5. How can I re-arrange the date of a car service?

6. What happens if my major service is due before my interim service, for example with a 2 year plan: An interim service in year 2 and Major service in year 1?

The service plan is designed to follow the manufacturer schedule so no matter whether the major service is due in year 1 or 2 the correct manufacturer schedule will be adhered to.

7. What is a 42 point electronic vehicle health check?

A comprehensive vehicle check covering the condition of suspension, body work, tyres, safety belt, wiring, pipes, hoses, oil and fuel feed lines, exhaust and brake measurements and condition.

Terms and conditions apply. *Replacement of spark plugs - a surcharge may be applied when Platinum or Iridium spark plugs are required. Pricing does not include cam belts, auxiliary belts or other repairs identified that fall outside the prescribed service schedule. All services will be carried out on up to and including 4 cylinder engines only. All service plans are only valid at Hartwell dealerships.
