1. What happens if I haven’t paid enough into my monthly (financed) service plan account at the time of servicing? Can I still service my vehicle?
Yes you can. At the time of booking we will ensure you have sufficient credit for your service and if you do not we will ask you to top up to the required amount for the applicable service.
2. How to keep your warranty valid?
All new Ford cars, Ranger and Fiesta Vans come with a 3-year/60,000 miles Ford Warranty that is operated through Ford Authorised Dealers. To keep this warranty valid the vehicle is required to be maintained in line with the manufacturer’s servicing requirements.
This warranty covers any part of the vehicle that requires repair or replacement as a result of a manufacturing defect. The part will be repaired or replaced completely free of charge by any Ford Authorised Dealer, regardless of any change of vehicle ownership during the warranty period, provided that the vehicle has been serviced correctly at the required intervals.

4. Do I have to take my car to the same dealership each year?
No, you don't have to use the same dealership every time you get a service. You can use any Hartwell dealership for servicing and repair at no extra charge.
5. What happens if I sell my car?
If you sell your car privately you can transfer your plan to the new owner free of charge, adding value to your sale.

7. What happens if my major service is due before my interim service, for example with a 2 year plan: An interim service in year 2 and Major service in year 1?
The service plan is designed to follow the manufacturer schedule so no matter whether the major service is due in year 1 or 2 the correct manufacturer schedule will be adhered to.
8. What is a 42 point electronic vehicle health check?
A comprehensive vehicle check covering the condition of suspension, body work, tyres, safety belt, wiring, pipes, hoses, oil and fuel feed lines, exhaust and brake measurements and condition.
9. What happens if my vehicle is on a 24 months service schedule?
The manufacturer recommends replenishment and replacement of oil every 12 months which our interim service covers.
10. What is Ford Assistance?
Ford Assistance is a roadside rescue, repair and recovery service that helps you at home or anywhere in Europe, seven days a week, 365 days a year, available on the following vehicles:
Every new Ford passenger car and commercial vehicle - free Ford Assistance for one year (excluding Motability).
All Ford Direct used cars - free Ford Assistance for two years
All Ford Direct used commercial vehicle – free Ford Assistance for a minimum of 18 months.
11. How do I extend my Ford Assistance roadside assistance?
You can extend your Ford Assistance for a further 12 months, or until your next service is due, when your vehicle has a Scheduled Service or Interim Service at a Hartwell dealer.
