How to connect Apple CarPlay to your Ford Puma?
One of the key features of the Puma's infotainment system is Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, which allows you to connect your iPhone / Phone to your Ford Puma and access your favourite apps, music, and other content. To connect your iPhone to the Ford Puma using Apple CarPlay we have put together this simple 4 step process to guide you through it, which involves:
Step 1: Check for Compatibility
Before connecting your iPhone to your Ford Puma, you need to make sure that your device is compatible with Apple CarPlay. To check to make sure it is compatible all you simply need to do is visit the Apple website and look up your device in the list of compatible devices. Most modern iPhones tend to be compatible.
Step 2: Connect Your iPhone to the Ford Puma
To connect your iPhone to your Ford Puma, you need to plug your Lightning cable into the USB port in your SUV. Once you have connected your device, the touchscreen infotainment system will recognise your iPhone and launch Apple CarPlay automatically.
Alternatively, you can connect it via Bluetooth. To connect your iPhone via Bluetooth, make sure your Bluetooth on your phone is turned on, and click the connectivity settings in your car's infotainment system. Follow the notifications, and once connected Apple CarPlay will remotely connect to your car each time you get in and out of the car automatically.
Step 3: Use Apple CarPlay
Once Apple CarPlay is launched, you can access your favourite apps, music, and other content from your iPhone on the touchscreen infotainment system. To use Apple CarPlay, simply tap the icons on the screen on the infotainment display to access your desired content.
Step 4: Disconnect Your iPhone
When you are ready to disconnect your iPhone from your Ford Puma, simply unplug it from the USB port in your car, or if you have connected via Bluetooth, just leave your car. Your iPhone will then automatically disconnect from Apple CarPlay and return to its normal functioning.
How to connect Android Auto to your Ford Puma?
Along with Apple CarPlay, the new Ford Puma can also come with the Android Auto - for Android based smartphones. To connect Android Auto to your Puma we have put together this helpful 4 stage guide for you to follow.
Step 1: Check for Compatibility

When it comes to Ford's adaptive cruise control, the car can maintain a set distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, as well as bringing the car to a complete stop if required. When then combined with the Pre Collision Assist, and Evasive Steering systems this SUV can then even steer around obstacles while also applying the brakes for you if required.

When it comes to Ford's Blind Spot Detection system, the car can keep an eye on the road behind you, even when fitted with a trailer, or simply reversing from a driveway, and then alert you to objects in your blind spot you may not be able to see.
